What we should know about our rugs

Mechanical knot

It is a mechanical process carried out by a machine that is capable of producing thousands of exactly the same carpets with a quality and result inferior to that of a manual one.

Moroccan knot

Moroccan rugs come in a wide variety of styles - from knotless wool rugs (on both sides) to the most special creations by Nid Lchguer and her neighbors. These pieces are sometimes worth hundreds or thousands of dollars in the carpet markets of Marrakech, Fez or abroad.

Persian / Oriental

The Persian carpet is an essential element of Persian art and culture, the making of which has become an art. Carpet weaving is undoubtedly one of the highest manifestations of Persian culture and art, dating back to the Bronze Age.

Its Manufacture

The rugs can be basically made of wool or acrylic fibers. The main difference between one and the other lies mainly in the duration. A wool rug can last up to 3 times longer than an acrylic one, in good condition. Wool supports cleaning much better, its hair does not lose color or volume easily allowing the carpet to be beautiful for many more years. The main advantage of acrylic fibers is its price, its duration is much shorter, they tend to lose shine and volume in its plush with use and cleanings. This type of rugs is ideal for daring designs, superfashion colors, young people. Its affordable price allows it to be renewed more easily when we get tired of seeing it or it begins to show the passage of time. For homes with children it is a practical and cheap option.
